2024 - Event Update

We had a blast delivering Ride the Change in 2021 and 2022. Though we’ve passed on the logistics baton for 2024, we still highly recommend joining a fantastic community ride to raise support for nature and climate – not through cash, but through actions!

The 2024 ride is from London to Brussels, 20th - 23rd April 2024. Intrigued? Learn more here and prepare to saddle up!

2023 - Event Summary

The following details are subject to change, but the current plan is:

Dates: End-Oct, early-Nov - final dates TBC.
Expected riders: 100+-
Distance: Approx 55-60 miles/day on average for 4 days (Total distance: 225 miles +-)

Start: TBC
Finish: Westminster, London

Accommodation: Not included, allowing flexibility for you to book your preferred accommodation options.

Goals of the ride:

1. To empower a community of climate champions

By equipping riders with the tools needed to drive substantial changes within their communities and workplaces, through three key elements of the ride:

a. Experiencing first-hand the impact that you can inspire through asking people for support through simple climate action pledges – things like cycling to work, wasting less food, or switching banks.

b. Educating and informing riders about climate projects and solutions across the country, through a series of talks, films, and shared meals each evening of the ride, as well as pit stops on route.

c. Connect all riders to a community of people who share a passion for climate action, building strong relationships through the shared experience of the ride.

2. To influence policy makers in the UK and at COP28

By sharing powerful impact stories, data, and lessons from the ride through targeted PR and social media. Some such policy makers may even join legs of the cycle itself, experiencing the impact and energy firsthand.

*All riders will have their own Do Nation page where they can see their impact and how that contributes to the collective impact of the ride. We'll also organise various evening events, entertainment, talks and project site visits along the way, so you'll arrive in London with an even stronger knowledge of climate action, not just strong legs. This part will be coordinated and organised by Adventure Uncovered, in partnership with event charity partner Possible.

Ride the Change guarantees:

  • GPX routes and on-road vehicle support plus some guides, however, the route is self-guided and designed to be off main roads as much as possible
  • Support vehicles to carry all your gear (so you can peddle along bag free!)
  • Delicious tasty lunches in scenic spots along the route (dry!)
  • Evening events, entertainment and project visits along the way
  • Smiles on arrival
  • Great new friends you haven’t yet met.
