Join us for our first ‘Evenings to Explore’ event, a mindful walk taking in the sights, sounds and smells (oh yes!) of nature. A chance to slow down, unwind and reconnect to the great outdoors, right on your doorstep.
The route - Parkland Walk, Finsbury Park to Muswell Hill via Highbury Woods.
- Meeting time and date: 6:30pm, July 10th
- Starting at: 6:45pm (leaving at 7pm latest)
- Starting location: Parkland Walk entrance, Finsbury Park (click for Google map)
- End: Muswell Hill
- Finishing time: Approx 9pm (in time for post-walk drink/food)
We’ll meet at the entrance to Parkland Walk, a 3 min walk from the station through Finsbury Park at 6.30 pm, setting off at 7 pm at the latest (see email for meetup point).
After a quick intro and mindful exercise, we’ll head off towards Crouch End. Note: the path is cleared but can get a bit muddy if it’s been raining so wear appropriate footwear.
It takes approximately 1 hour to walk to Highbury Woods along the path, with a couple of stops en route. Be aware that there is a steep hill as we approach the woods.
Once there, there will be a quick toilet break (if needed) before we take part in a ‘Sit Spot’ activity, immersed in trees and nature - all will be explained.
The final section takes us to Muswell Hill, but not before taking in an impressive view of London town from the trail.
Final stop, The Mossy Well pub at approximately 8.30-9 pm for post-walk nourishment.
