COVID-19 FAQs — read how we are keeping our events safe, simple and flexible. Find out more

The world has changed and indoor festivals and screenings are tricky right now. Which is why we’ve decided to take films outside in 2021 and split them across a diverse range of new 'nighter' and 'microfestival' events across the UK.

We're facing huge challenges in the face of COVID-19 like many others, but we don't just want to 'virtualise' our film festival at the expense of the big screen experience. That said, all selections and winners will be available online, with some livestreamed and on-demand.

Join us and our award-winning filmmakers as we explore the grit, diversity, challenges and triumphs of adventure's lesser-known tales!

Venues

We work with sustainable venues who are aligned to our purpose, benefiting social progress, local communities or the environment.

London - our 2020 launch event will be at The Boiler House, a venue putting action and innovation towards social change at the forefront. Workshops will run at x+why workspace, a flexible workspace with purpose.

Oxford - Tap Social Movement grew out of a passion for good beer and social justice, a craft brewery which provides training courses for people serving prison sentences, offering courses in brewing and business start-up, and providing one-on-one support in securing permanent employment to assist in effective rehabilitation.

Bristol - Cube Cinema, a non-profit cooperative staffed by volunteers. Since opening in 1998 the venue has hosted artistic and cultural events including films and music performances, as well as providing a focal point for the local artistic community.
