Bognor Fishing - Back from the Brink

Year: 2022
Type: Short film

The film "Bognor Fishing – Back from the Brink" tells the story of Clive Mills, a fisherman from Bognor Regis. He wants to bring back the town's fishing traditions. Clive stopped fishing in 1999 because of the decline in catch. Now, he is back to rebuild the fishing community. He is working with other fishers and local supporters. They want to turn part of the Bognor Regis promenade into a place where people can learn about fishing history. With help from groups like Blue Marine Foundation and the Sussex Kelp Restoration Project, they are working to restore the kelp forests and promote sustainable fishing. This project aims to bring back fish and the fishing community in Bognor Regis. It also hopes to inspire similar conservation efforts.
