Event Summary

Well isn’t this an exciting collaboration!

Heard of Goodfest?

Goodfest is a Festival of creative conversations exploring how to inspire change through purposeful ideas and actions. The 2-day event will be held at Bedruthan Hotel, perched on the hill overlooking Mawgan Porth on the stunning North Coast of Cornwall.

For the first time ever Goodfest festival go-ers (and non-festival-goers) can cycle to the festival in Cornwall, the most sustainable way of getting there!

Choose to ride the full Atlantic Way from Bristol to Bedruthan, over 3 nights, or join us along the way for one day! (available only on Day 1 - from Bristol, or Day 4 from Boscastle)

The Goodride will build community and visit specific sustainability-inspired projects; foodie stops, coffee stops, renewable energy projects, permaculture bits and bobs, and even the Boscastle Museum of Witchcraft and Magic.. ooer.

The vibe will be similar to our Ride the Change - Cycle to COP26 except for this time we’re all staying together in beautiful YHAs (exclusively hired for us) so your accommodation and food is SORTED.

If you love nature and the outdoors, sustainability, meeting fascinating new people, and want to get your creative juices flowing before the event, then this ride is for you! Good times, guaranteed.

Mark up your calendar now.

We’ll carry the bags (and all your festival gear) as usual.

Tell me more about the festival location...

Mawgan Porth is a little-known but never forgotten village on the rugged coastline of North Cornwall. With spectacular scenery and a phenomenal beachfront, there is no surprise in learning that those who have discovered the raw beauty of Mawgan Porth are reluctant to share!

Midway between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth is linked to each town via the incomparably gorgeous South West Footpath, connecting visitors to viewpoint hot spots and breathtaking must-sees such as Park Head. It boasts a wide and sandy, west-facing dog friendly beach that gathers impressive Atlantic swells. The surrounding locale includes; the picturesque village of St Mawgan, a tiny untouched cornish ville set in a deep and pretty valley; Trevarrian a traveller's haven, with rental homes and a popular pub, and Trenance, offering the best views of the beach and coastal vista.

Since joining her first Brake the Cycle trip, Shalyn has been hooked on adventuring by bike. Having now converted countless friends and family (and sometimes even strangers) to the joys of biking, Shalyn joins us to lead rides and share her infectious enthusiasm for exploring by bike, opportunistic yoga, sharing good food and camping under the stars. It's also quite possible that Shalyn holds the record for the most puncture-repairs in a calendar year - so we're glad to be in experienced hands.
