For 70 years the Countryside Code has been guiding us on how to protect our outdoor spaces, and as pandemic restrictions lift, it's as important as ever.
Natural England and DEFRA have been working on a refreshed Code over the winter involving their partners and stakeholders to update the content, language and tone to reflect what the public wants and also meet the needs of farmers, site managers and others, and they want to keep evolving the Code further so that it is even more inclusive and relevant to as many people as possible.
The Countryside Code toolkit is a vital starting point for conversations and engagement and in based around #RespectProtectEnjoy principles.
